Wet n Wild Trio Swatches and Comparison

Sweet as Candy & Don't Steel My Thunder

One day in CVS I got this 'bargain' $9.99 set full of Wet n Wild products. Inside, there were two eyeshadow trios from the regular line - just with really bad packaging in comparison and I THINK a lesser quality. Who knows, maybe these two were just not as pigmented and creamy as Walking on Eggshells has been in the past? :3

A bit powdery, a bit off fallout, but a few nice shades and they were cheap so whatever, I don't mind.

L-R: Don't Steel My Thunder, Sweet as Candy, Walking on Eggshells.

Generally the same pigmentation wise but WoE's shadows are far more creamy/buttery to apply and blend well with minimal fall out.

Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette

This palette is pretty awesome - 2 concealers, a neutralizer and a setting powder. Truth be told, I'm so pale that I only use the neutralizer and the lighter concealer (which is still a bit dark for me!) and i don't go near the powder. It's not that it's bad, it's just by the time I've put foundation on I really can't be bothered picking this palette out again just to set it and I just use my regular powder instead.

I tend to get a little bit of the concealer on my fingertip and then a little bit of the green over it and apply it to blemishes on my face. Quite lazy but it works for me! It's quite thick but covers well and is non-drying so I would recommend this palette. Just wish I wasn't wasting the dark tan shade. :3

NYC Sunny Bronzer Swatches

At $3 or so I couldn't really say no to NYC's bronzer since I've heard such good things about it. First of all, it's a reasonably light colour that doesn't pull too orange on me, which is a first. I don't use a lot of bronzer - maybe a little bit in summer to give me a teeny bit of colour - or to buff under my cheekebones/along my chin for a bit of a contour. I don't use it a huge amount, so I can't review it, but for my purposes I think it's great.

Milani Baked Blush 05 Luminoso

Time for a beautiful blush post. ^^

Luminoso is a bit unlike it's sisters from Milani in that it is more sheeny rather than all out glittery/shimmery. It's also quite orange against my skin tone but it is actually still oddly flattering. The texture is fantastic - smooth and blendable with the ability to offer a light touch or a more pigmented colour, as seen in my swatches. For the price Milani really hit the nail on the head with this product and I've heard that it's not unlike Stereo Rose by MAC? Not sure since I don't have that (:c) but oh well! Sorry for the blurry pictures, must of been in a rush.

Bath and Body Works Forever Sunshine

Last year I was stopped on my journey into a Bath and Body Works store by an enthusiastic shop assistant. Now I don't mind these, in fact it's nice to actually be offered assistance which is usually not the case in the UK, but she was a bit too full on for my tastes. She literally grabbed my arm and used the Forever Sunshine Triple Moisture lotion on me, yes it smelt good, yes I thought it was nice - but I didn't buy it and I was running out of there in a few minutes feeling awkward. She insisted on asking me what scents I liked, why etc. 'oh this ones a bit too young for you, what about this?' As a result I still don't know what Sweet Pea smells like haha!

This year I bought the Triple Moisture Cream and the Body Mist since I really do like the scent. I miss this duo, sigh, which I didn't take back to the UK with me... I loved layering the lotion up on my arms/legs and then spritzing on the mist. I smelt so summery!

Can't wait until I can smell this again, plus I got them both free since I had coupons! :D Brilliant.

Elf Complexion Perfection

Just a quick post talking about Elf's complexion perfection powder and my unfortunate problem with it. ^^'

As you can see, mine isn't nearly as pretty as anybody else's, since I opened the box and discovered mine was totally smashed when I got home from Target. Gutted! Since then though I have just smashed it up some more into a fine powder and pressed it, a lot of fall out usually but it works. I actually love this powder. It might appear a bit white/greeny/blue when you apply it but once it's buffed in its a brilliant setting powder. Definitely a repurchase at $3! Just hope it isn't a loose powder then haha. ^^

Vans Backpack

I've been in need of a backpack so I grabbed this one from Vans for $38. A really pretty teal and it has a odd texture, gathers a bit of dust but whatever, It feels nice and can carry a lot so no complaints!

Bath and Body Works Hand Gel Haul

Very mini haul, I know. 5 for $5 and a huge range of flavours, what's not to like?

Maybe the fact I didn't mean to buy Pow Smash Berry? Haha, I quickly grabbed the red gel - what I thought was the Halloween chocolate chew ghost one - and bought it before I realised. Somebody had left Smash Berry in the wrong dish thingie! It must have been fate, however, since i opened it and used it and realised...

That it's my favourite out my whole collection. Pretty snazzy. it even made it back to the UK since I loved it so much! :p

The rest are pretty good, Sour Drop is quite unique - I didn't bring it home but it was pretty awesome. Mint Chocolate smells lush. P&J Smells a bit odd but nice and Mojito is just good. :p

NYC Cafe Lipstick Swatches

I picked this up after a friend swore it was a coral on her, on me it's definitely a metallic brown - but it's still gorgeous. Seriously, go pick this up - it's only $1 and doesn't smell too funky! It's a lovely shade, perfect for layering under or over things, and it's comfortable and easy to wear. Just an all around great product really..
