Elf Brushes Mini Review

Whilst I was at Target I picked up two brushes from the Elf Studio line - the complexion brush & the powder brush. And wow, I really love these babies! $3 each (amazing...)They also come with their own brush guards, awesome for cleaning and keeping them free of dust/hair/dirty etc. The complexion brush is so soft and not too large in my opinion. I actually use this for powder as it blends really nicely and works well with different powders - it doesn't cake it on like some can. This hasn't shed at all and I love how clean elf brushes are, only the very tips of the brushes seem to get dirty (that's not to say don't clean them btw, of course they're dirty after a few uses!) The handle is easy to use as it is not too long. Highly recommend this brush!Next up is the powder brush which is good for powder, yes, but I prefer it for other things. It applies a pressed powder a little too heavily for my tastes, since I prefer to apply a little and touch up throughout the day to control shine instead of one heavy application. This brush is like a flat top kabuki and as a result is actually very nice for buffing in foundation, I've used it with Revlon colourstay and it's pretty good! It might take awhile so I recommend blending the foundation first a bit with your fingers or a sponge and then buffing with the brush to give a nice finish. I also like it for applying bronzer and maybe dabbing on a bit of blush, I can imagine it being good for buffing in a little cream blush but we'll have to see. I kind of really want another one or two of these, one for blush, foundation and bronzer!

Until Next Time,
