NOTD: Nails Inc Havana from Dove & Nails Inc The Beauty Collection (swatches)

Last night I caught up on all most of my blog posts apart from my NOTD's ^^ I haven't seen anything really about Havana, only Copacabana, at all and this offer has been on for about 4days now? I'm so surprised that more bloggers haven't posted!

Not as surprised, however, as when I got my hands on this polish! I was anticipating a sheer, creamy pastel pink that I could probably pass up, what I got instead was a beautiful and very unique polish in my own collection. ^^
To me this is a rosy/pink fudge coloured polish which can appear a little bit like a nude. It's such an interesting colour and this took 3 coats to apply (it's quite sheer) to get the above NOTD. What makes this polish so special as well is the delicate rosy/golden pink flash of shimmer that shows up as you roll the bottle of nail polish and if you look closely you can definitely see this on your nails. My picture is not anything to go on for this, sadly. It's far more noticeable in artificial orange/yellow light at night and it bright sunlight though, as you would expect!

I hope this was helpful for anybody looking for a Havana NOTD/swatch as I personally found nothing online myself! ^-^

Dove & Nails Inc ~ The Beauty Collection (& Swatches)

Everybody has been going on about this certain freebie and no wonder! Simply buy two of the selected Dove deodorants (retailing from about £1.95-£3.32) and get a free Nails Inc polish! ^^
I bought the Dove Beauty Finish roll on, Invisible Dry roll on & spray and the original Dove Roll on. I would have bought another aerosol, as they are what I use on a daily basis, but I was tight on cash and would have spent over £10 if I had. I needed a roll on for traveling this Summer anyway so it's a win-win situation! This cost me £9.37 in total.

Havana

This really surprised me! It had been advertised as a lovely creamy pastel pink but to me this is totally different and I'm so glad that it isn't just a boring sheer pink. To me, this appears like a 'fudge' coloured polish with a definite pinky tone. There is also an amazing rosy/golden pink flash of shimmer that shows up as you roll the bottle around, it's beautiful. Although quite sheer, I think this will be good in about 3 coats as the swatch below was with 2. Sadly I won't have a proper picture of this until I do a NOTD, maybe tomorrow?

Copacabana

I wasn't sure about either of these polishes at the start until I saw Ms Bubu's post and then later her NOTD which made the colour look stunning!
Don't get me wrong - it's beautiful - but I was a bit disappointed at first as it appeared very bright neon pinky orange and actually reminded me of this sort of modelling clay I had when I was younger. It is, however, unique within my collection and it looks more muted when swatched but still a wonderfully strange corally/pink orange colour that I really love. This will be the perfect pedicure colour, now I just have to make the horrible decision of what to choose from my collection to wear for when I go out to Florida on holiday!

L-R: Denny Leighton Do Me a Favour, Viva La Diva, Nails Inc: Copacabana, Havana

Did a little comparison of swatches for you all as, try as I might, I couldn't take a picture of these polishes at all! They are so difficult, hopefully when I do a NOTD I'll be able to get a decent enough picture to capture them correctly. :/ I have to say I think I'll be popping Havana on my fingernails and Copacabana on my toes to replace Viva La Diva as I'm so excited! ^^

What do you think? Will you be picking any of these up? *-^

NOTD & Magazine Freebies: Instyle & Nails Inc (Electric Teal/Fashion Fawn)

Pay £3.70 (not as good as the glamour magazine's deal!) for a copy of Instyle and get a free Nails Inc Polish worth £11! The first one I got my hands on was Electric Teal! A lovely (but darker than I expected) teal. It came in a black box with the nail polish sticker name on the top, peeled it off and stuck it to the bottom of the bottle so I wouldn't forget. :)

Quite hard to photograph, not impossible though. Lovely creamy formula - 1 coater as always Nails Inc, with another to even it out! In most lights this appeared as a darker blue on my skintone but in others the green really showed up. I'm so happy I finally have a dark teal - not very electric as you can see.

Next I grabbed ''Fashion Fawn'' which on most people is the perfect greige shade, on my pale skin though this pulls very murky brown! Despite the oddness on my skintone, I quite like this one.

Application was the same as teal mostly, a bit sheerer though. 2 Coats!
What do you think? Last NOTD of the night!

Nails Inc & Diet Coke Promotion Haul! (+China Glaze polish!)

''Haul'' isn't really the appropriate word, I only grabbed 2/4 polishes for myself!

That doesn't mean I was totally normal, walking about with (eek) four bottles of Diet Coke to get my freebie nail polish. No way, I had to go in twice (the second time I admit to forcing my mum to go buy for me) to get 8 bottles of coke and 4 bottles of nail polish. Each bottle of coke cost £1.18, so that was a total of £9.44.

I skipped out on the last shade (I may regret this later) but it seemed like a very generic Berry/Plum/Red/Pink thing that I passed.

I was grabbing the Heather Grey & Denim shades for me, whilst I knew my good friend
wanted the Denim shade. I also grabbed her the Caramel shade, as although this would look hideous with my pale skin, would compliment hers so much better. Plus she is a fiend for nude polishes lately, I gave her an OPI one today in fact!

Before I get onto the actual photos and descriptions, I wanted to say that this promotion will sadly end on Wednesday the 2nd of February. I'm just thankful I managed to grab these in time :)

From L-R: Denim, Denim, Heather Grey, Caramel, China Glaze's Little Drummer Boy.

Excuse the crappy lighting, it makes the two Denim shades appear differently! So to recap, I only kept one Denim & Heather Grey for me.

The China Glaze polish was a last minute impulse buy when I went to Sallys in the same day, cost me £2.40 with VAT due to the clearance/sale on the christmas range!

Heather Grey is definately my favourite, though it does come off a little too pink in the picture. Sorry! For good swatches just type in something like: Blog Nails Inc Diet Coke (shade name) swatches. It's what I do when I'm creating wish lists!

Until next time, (approx 20minutes or so!)
